Subject: COLLEGE CORRUPTION
Have you heard the story of the demented VP who blocked the promotion of a top-notch educator for refusing to participate in the Administration's attempted ouster of his department chair? Or the one about the "task force" appointed to study the decade-long disaster that is the Math Department's remedial program and recommend a single textbook for uniform use? (The department currently employs three or four different texts and umpteen different methodologies in its remedial course.) This task force, coincidentally, consists of two co-authors of one of these texts! If this farce were the result of mere stupidity, it would almost be forgivable. Can you guess which text the task force will recommend?
For in-depth coverage of these and many other cases resembling administrative corruption, visit LAGUARDIACORRUPTION.COM, check out the latest updates and leave a comment in the guestbook. The website has now had well over 28,000 hits. It has been visited by thousands of faculty and administrators from virtually every college in New York State and by scores of colleges, educational and civic organizations across the country. It has also been the subject of newspaper and online newsletter articles. Word is steadily spreading about the once-proud and innovative college that has been reduced to an administrative lunatic asylum.
